Who?

Hi! My name's Charlie, I tend to go by Charl online though, and it's also what my family calls me, I'm not sure why, I kinda just go with it. I'm now 19! I'm from the UK, and I'm a full time student at the University of York studying Computer Science with Cyber Security.

Hobbies

I have quite a few interests and hobbies, some are more normal than others. I like racing, and before I came to university, raced karts in the Rotax classes since I was 10. I also like going to watch stage rallies, and one day if I get enough money I'd like to compete in them. I also do archery which I've been able to carry on while at uni, but I'm not very good. I used to play a lot of paintball/airsoft, but haven't been in a whilllleeee because of injuries and exams. I like anime and manga, some of my favourites being Re:Zero, Oshi no Ko, and Chainsaw Man, but I like a TON more. I'm also super interested in cybersecurity and hacking, and I'm slowly learning the basics of ethical hacking in my own time. Oh yeah, I also suck ass at any kind of design or web development, but I haven't really put any time into learning it.

Streaming

During Covid lockdown, I decided to start streaming on Twitch, and made a lot of friends though it, had a good time, and got a lot of random experience with OBS, editing, attempting to be entertaining, and other stuff like that. I also used to make a few YouTube videos when I could, but never really uploaded consistently. I stopped streaming for a lot of different reasons, but I'd love to come back to it. Before then though, I'd like to build a small community of friends on Twitter and Discord, and just enjoy my time like that before committing to anything bigger, since I pretty much dissapeared off the internet for over a year.
